What is your background/story?

I’m a simple country boy who’s been all over. I was a pro dancer for ten years, doing shows in the West End and internationally, but I’ve finally made it to BXR via the Norwegian wilderness, deepest darkest Germany, and a brief visit to Lewisham.

What is your proudest achievement?

My proudest achievement is still being alive - who’d have thought?!

Any nicknames?

I get called Daddy D, don’t ask me why.

What’s your favourite / least favourite exercise?

My favourite exercise would be sprints on the erg (rowing machine). I won the indoor uni championships for London a couple of years back, so if you want to race me then come at me brah. Running is my worst, I couldn’t run even if I was on fire.

What aspect of training do you pride yourself on / bring to your classes?

Despite all the mania in class, all the sweat and the occasional tear, it’s got to be a good time - if it isn’t, then it’s not worth getting out of bed for.

When are your classes?

Classes are Tuesday 6:45am and sweeping up loads of others here and there.

What’s your music style in class?

Musically you can’t beat a guitar and beats bonanza. The Prodigy, Chase and Status. AC/DC Back in Black is my ultimate hype but Britney and Kesha always get a look in - I don’t discriminate.

Bold, brash, cheeky.

What’s your naughty cheat meal?

Burgers and Beer. Patty and Bun in Soho can’t be beaten.

Where can we find you at the weekend?

Out on the river rowing with the boys at sunrise, followed by Patty and Bun in Soho.
